Gas fittings are highly specific.

1. NPT vs. FLARE: The 1/4" side is NPT (National Pipe Thread). It will NOT connect to standard flared hoses. NPT threads require the included yellow PTFE tape for sealing.

2. DIMENSIONS: A 1/4" NPT thread physically measures about 0.54" across with a ruler. If you measure it and it looks like 1/2", you received the correct item!

3. NO GAS FLOW? The QCC1 end has a safety check valve (plunger). Gas will only flow if your connecting device pushes this plunger deep enough to open the valve.
